School CEIAG Workshops

At Time2Act, our School CEIG (Careers Education, Information & Guidance) Workshops are designed to equip students with the practical communication skills, confidence, and self-awareness they need to make informed decisions about their futures. We support schools in preparing young people not only to understand their options, but to present themselves effectively in an increasingly competitive world.

Our workshops are fully adaptable for all year groups and Key Stages, from Upper Primary and Secondary Schools to Sixth Form Centres, and can be delivered to groups of any size. Whether working with a focused group of ten students or a larger cohort of over a hundred, we ensure every workshop remains engaging, supportive, and purposeful.

Each session is tailored to your school’s objectives, timetable, and student needs. Workshops are typically designed to run for a full school day but can be delivered in shorter sessions or integrated into careers weeks, post-16 preparation, transition programmes, or enrichment days.

Our CEIG workshops focus on developing the core personal and communication skills that underpin student success, including:

  • Interview Preparation and Practice – building confidence, clarity, and composure under pressure.
  • Presentation and Self-Presentation Skills – helping students articulate strengths, aspirations, and experiences with authenticity.
  • Career Awareness and Exploration – encouraging students to reflect on skills, interests, and potential pathways.
  • Goal Setting and Future Planning – providing frameworks for turning ambition into actionable steps.

Using a blend of interactive exercises, practical scenarios, role-play, and constructive feedback, we create a dynamic learning environment where students feel safe to experiment, express themselves, and grow.

At Time2Act, our goal is simple: to empower young people with the confidence to step into their next chapter, whether that’s further study, apprenticeships, or employment, with clarity, preparedness, and belief in their abilities.

Dragons Den (Yr 6-13)

“We’re In!”

Dragon's Den

One of our most consistently popular events, this fast paced day is inspired by the popular television series Dragons Den. This engaging and accessible format introduces students at all levels to new techniques, experiences and ways of working whilst they design, develop, test and pitch their own business ideas to a panel of judges.

Skills your students will take from the day include:

  • Reflective and co-operative learning
  • Relating personal skills to job roles
  • The art of finding ideas
  • Self-assessment and reflection
  • Creative problem solving
  • Digitalisation
  • Perfect pitch

Our tutors create a great atmosphere that enables everyone to engage with the content and makes for an unforgettable experience with real impact on your students.

Futures (Yr 7-13)

“Failure to prepare is preparing to fail”

Our Futures Day gives teachers the opportunity to customise and tailor their own programme through a mix and match format of individual CEIAG modules, Each module lasts approximately 1hr, we can advise which ones would be most appropriate for your target year group.

Modules to choose from:

  • Understanding Yourself: What are your skills, interests and values? What does this tell you about the kind of careers that are most appropriate to you? What will make you happy, fulfilled and successful? We walk students through our formula to give them some sense of direction and idea of what their future might look like.
  • Psychometric Testing: How do we deal with this common filter in the recruitment process? Exam conditions, eyes down. This can be a stressful experience, but with the right preparation you can maximise your chances.
  • Interview Skills: How do we make a positive impression at interview? A nerve wracking experience for people of all ages, but with the right practice and techniques a good interview can secure an opportunity ahead of better qualifications!
  • Social Media Awareness: How do we use this modern phenomenon to our advantage? How bothered are employers about your social media footprint? How can we use social media to our advantage?
  • CV & Personal Statement Writing: Our CV and Personal statement is our calling card, our first impression and the key to securing and interview. What makes a good one?
  • Presentation and Pitching Skills: Stand up and sell yourself and your ideas to an audience. How do we use our voice and body effectively? This is a skill that comes naturally to some, but it can also be learnt and honed once we understand the basic techniques.
  • Team Building Tasks A common test during recruitment and selection procedures. They might seem like child’s play, but recruiters are looking for you to demonstrate key skills and attitudes. What are they?
  • Future Careers What are the jobs of the future that don’t currently exist? Can we anticipate changes in technology, social dynamics or financial shifts that will influence the careers of the future?

Election Day (Yr 7-13)

“The ballot is stronger than the bullet”

Our Election programme has now been running for over ten years! Developed to coincide with General Elections and other major political events, Election brings the often dull and inaccessible subject of politics alive.

In teams, students are asked to found a brand new political party to contest the next General Election. Our team take cohorts through step by step modules, at each stage taking time to explain how our democracy and electoral system works. Teams will devise a Manifesto on issues and topics of their own choosing, they brand their new party and then learn about campaigning strategies and debating. Finally we hold a real life vote, where students learn how to use a ballot slip as they choose their favourite group and a winning group is crowned.

Apathy amongst the 18-24 voter demographic is one of the major flaws in UK democracy. At T2A we believe that nourishing a genuine interest and understanding in politics is the way to redress this. Election is a fantastic vehicle for beginning a lifelong interest and engagement with current affairs.

Like all of our T2A programmes, Election is packed full of Employability Skills learning. The day is typical of an Assessment Centre style group activity, where students have to manage their time, delegate tasks, use initiative and teamwork before pitching for votes in the finale.

Earth Day

“If you want something you’ve never had, you must do something you’ve never done”

The year is 2047…climate change has caused global sea levels to rise uncontrollably and all that remain are a few clusters of islands where humanity must start again. Is there any way back?

In teams, students are giving resource packs detailing what they have available on their chosen island. They are then taken through step by step modules as they develop a new civilisation. From power supplies and food through to culture and laws, they have a clean slate to create a brand new idyllic civilisation. Every decision must be sustainable, we can’t repeat the mistakes of the past!

This day concludes with each team pitching their island to the rest of the cohort before the year group votes on their favourite new island. Where would you most like to live?

Like all of our T2A programmes, Earth Day is packed full of Employability Skills learning. The day is typical of an Assessment Centre style group activity, where students have to manage their time, delegate tasks, use initiative and teamwork before pitching for votes in the finale.
